Casino banner design for promos, CRM and affiliates

Casino banner design for operators who run promos every week: one campaign cut into hero, mobile, square, email and IAB affiliate sizes, with offer copy laid out so it reads at a glance.

By the CasinoThumbnail design team · Updated 9 October 2026

Casino banner design is rarely about one banner. A welcome offer, a weekend reload or a seasonal promo has to appear on the site hero, the mobile home screen, the app, the CRM email, the push notification and, if you run an affiliate programme, on partner sites in IAB sizes. We design the campaign once and cut it into every placement you use, so the offer reads the same everywhere and your CRM team stops resizing artwork by hand.

One campaign, cut into every placement

A banner set starts with a master composition: key art, offer headline, CTA and terms line arranged so each element can move without breaking. From that master we produce each size as its own layout rather than a crop. A desktop hero has room for a character on one side and copy on the other; a mobile banner stacks them; a square needs the amount and the CTA close together because it is often seen in a feed at small size.

Halloween campaign, desktop hero cut (1920x640). The same set ships as a 750x1000 mobile banner and a 1080x1080 square.

The Halloween set above is one example from our campaign banners. The mobile version at 750x1000 moves the headline above the art so it is readable before the scroll, and the 1080x1080 square works for social posts, Telegram channels and in-app tiles. All three share the same palette, type and offer copy, so a player who sees the square on social and then lands on the site recognises the promo straight away.

Casino banner sizes we deliver

Every operator and platform has its own slots, but most casino banners fall into the sizes below. Send us your list and we will match it exactly, including any odd sizes your platform uses for lobby strips or cashier pop-ups.

Files come as WebP and AVIF, PNG where transparency is needed, at 1x and 2x, named the way your CMS or CRM tool expects. For lobby tile dimensions rather than banners, see the thumbnail sizes spec sheet.

Copy hierarchy for welcome bonus banners

A welcome bonus banner has a few seconds to land, so the order of information matters more than decoration. We lay out bonus offers in this order:

  1. Headline amount. The match percentage and cap, for example "100% up to EUR 500", set largest. This is the number players compare between casinos.
  2. Free spins. A second line with the spin count and, if useful, the game. Smaller than the amount so the two do not compete.
  3. CTA. One short verb on a button: Claim, Join, Play. High contrast against the background, same position across sizes.
  4. Terms line. 18+, "T&Cs apply" and any market-required wording, legible at the delivered size, not hidden at 4 px.

Slot banners promoting a single game follow a similar logic: game art and title first, the reason to play now (new release, free spins drop, tournament) second, CTA third. When a slot banner sits next to the game's lobby tile, we match it to your existing casino game thumbnails so the promo and the tile look related.

Between banner refreshes, badges carry smaller promos on the tiles themselves. A FREE SPINS or JACKPOT overlay tells players about an offer in the lobby without commissioning new art:

Tip: write the offer in your CRM tool first, then brief the banner. If the copy changes after design, every size changes with it, and the terms line is usually the first thing to break.

Compliance basics for casino promo banners

We are designers, not your compliance team, but we build banners so they are easy to approve. The basics we apply by default:

  • An 18+ mark on every size, including the 320x50.
  • A terms line ("T&Cs apply", or your required wording) that stays readable after export.
  • No misleading claims: no "free money", no "guaranteed win", no wording that hides wagering requirements.
  • Room for a responsible gambling line or logo where your licence asks for it.

Market rules differ, sometimes a lot. Some regulators restrict how bonus amounts are presented, require specific wording, or limit imagery that could appeal to minors. Tell us which markets a set is for and send your compliance notes; we lay out the space for the required text from the start instead of squeezing it in afterwards.

Localising a banner set per market

A promo running in several countries needs more than translated text. German copy runs long, Finnish compounds can break a headline, and Japanese, Korean and Chinese need different line lengths and type. We rebuild the copy layer for each language and recheck every size, so the CTA never ends up off the button.

Currency, offer amounts and terms usually differ per market too, so each localised set is treated as its own artwork, not a text swap. The same approach powers our localised lobby tiles, which we produce in 17 market languages. Localisation is priced from EUR 8 per language per asset.

Casino affiliate banners

Affiliates need a consistent pack they can drop into review sites, comparison tables and Telegram channels without asking your team for each size. Our affiliate pack covers the IAB sizes above (300x250, 728x90, 160x600, 320x50) plus a square, all built from one campaign, with 18+ and terms on every file. Operators usually refresh the pack when the welcome offer changes and add seasonal sets around major promos.

If you also manage the brand side, banner templates can be locked as part of a wider iGaming branding kit, so future promos start from approved layouts rather than a blank canvas.

Questions

What is included in a casino promo banner set?

A desktop hero (1920x600 or 1920x640), a 750x1000 mobile banner and a 1080x1080 square, all from one campaign design with the same offer copy, CTA and terms line. Extra sizes such as email headers can be added.

How much does casino banner design cost?

Promo banner sets start from EUR 45 per set and the affiliate pack starts from EUR 120. Payment is in crypto only, invoiced in EUR.

Which sizes are in the casino affiliate banner pack?

The standard IAB sizes 300x250, 728x90, 160x600 and 320x50, plus a square, each with 18+ and a terms line. We can add any custom sizes your affiliates ask for.

Do you make sure the banners are compliant?

We build every banner with an 18+ mark, a readable terms line and no misleading claims, and leave space for market-specific wording. Final approval stays with your compliance team, since rules differ by market.

Can you localise a welcome bonus banner for several markets?

Yes. We rebuild the copy layer per language and recheck every size, with amounts and terms per market. Localisation is from EUR 8 per language per asset.

Can banners match our lobby tiles?

Yes. When a slot banner promotes a game, we use the same art direction as its lobby tile so the promo and the tile look related.
